Well after weeks, and weeks, of counting down to the big day, Hannah (finally…her words, not mine ) celebrated her 7th birthday. She celebrated with family on Tuesday (going out for a steak dinner) and had an ice skating party with her friends on Saturday. Her favorite gift was a guinea pig…named Rose. She also got; polly pockets, Webkins, jewelry, and barbie stuff.
It is hard to believe ”our baby” is 7! Hannah is sooo happy, most all of the time. She loves; school, her teacher, her classmates, dancing, gymnastics, and riding her scooter. This child really loves everything and everyone. She also really likes pets…and is always asking if she can have a goat, horse, rabbit, another dog, etc. I mean, she is really not deprived of pets. We have 3 dogs, a cat, 4 rabbits, a hamster, and now a guinea pig. (We have a big yard)
Hannah can still entertain herself for hours at a time. She has a vivid imagination and is very dramatic when she plays. She can spend the better part of day having a tea party. A big step this year has been inviting her “babies” to the party. For over a year, all of her American Girl Dolls/Babies a have been face down in a closet.. Hannah said their eyes were freaky. We have no idea what changed her mind.
Hannah is also a great reader and reads books way above her age level. (We recently retrieved a copy of the Twilight books from her room…seriously) She is currently loving my Kindle. She said she loves a good book without pages! haha
Hannah also loves makeup! She especially likes lipgloss and lotion. Earlier this month, she staked her claim of half the bathroom she shares with Hilary. It is now decorated with dozens of small bottles of lotion. There have also been a few mornings that she has come down with some serious MAC eyeshadow on her eyes. This really thrills her older sister! LOL We blame dance…all of that stage makeup and glitter…..I mean it is a great look for stage, but try telling a 7 year old that it not such a good look for school! She is not buying it.
Hannah is our most outgoing child. In her school play, just this week, she danced and leaped across the stage….by herself. A bit of an improv to say the least. The hollering and clapping from the crowd just encouraged her to really get her moves on!! It was soo funny. Hannah told us that she was in the front and she wanted to do something big! She is a goof-ball.
Happy Birthday Hannah-Banana! It is a joy to be your parents.
